If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m a sucker for all things past. I’m fascinated by all things related with the vagabond lifestyle: I have a soft spot for Gypsies for their eclectic style and fortune telling talents, the Circus and past World Fairs and the Silent Film Era. These all posses generous qualities of freedom, eccentricity and genuine entertainment. They provide ever lasting inspiration, and have done so for centuries. A couple years ago I found some wonderful Circus prints at the flea market and now have them up in my bathroom (I really need to get these framed). More recently I’ve dabbled in playing with my old deck of Tarot cards, trying to find some answers and understand life in general. Life sure ain’t how it used to be, huh?!

Recently I’ve had quite the obsession with terrariums all thanks to my pal Elisa!!!

The winter is always depressing and the anticipation of starting up some little gardens in beautiful containers helped me make it through the cold gloom. So here we are, apparently in spring and it is finally time to get started! My mom’s friend has a glorious greenhouse full of little darling wonders and was kind enough to help me out with my first one!!! She took clippings from her cacti and planted them amongst a bevy of charming little rocks in a small apothecary jar I had found once upon a time that waited very patiently for this day to come! I have a few more waiting to welcome home a new fauna family! The varieties are limitless for what you house your greens in! Last weekend I stumbled upon a couple pieces at the flea market that I’m going to be building my own custom terrarium out of so stay tuned for the end result post! I can’t wait! I’m not big on sweets, especially cupcakes (I know, I know, enough already, just accept it and let’s move on) but I found these darling little fashion labelled treats to be quite delightful! Even if it is just to look at, as I can only imagine what these would cost if for sale in one of their stores, they are a marketing ploy success!
